Active cooking is a creative, wonderfully immersive experience where you prepare a three‑course dinner together over an open fire. We take care of everything, from the highest‑quality local ingredients to equipment that makes cooking over the fire simple and fun. All you need to do is settle in, get creative, and enjoy the experience together.

Choose between two unique locations: Hjällsnäs Eco Camp by Lake Mjörn or the grounds of Nääs Castle. Whichever setting you choose, you’ll enjoy a memorable experience filled with warmth, togetherness, and good food.

*Subject to fire‑ban regulations.
*The site by Lake Mjörn is completely off‑grid; you walk approximately 800 meters through the forest to reach it.

The experience, step by step

• When you arrive, we gather by the fire for a brief introduction to the experience and a presentation of the menu. After that, you are divided into small “cooking teams,” with each group responsible for one dish. Every team receives its ingredients and the equipment needed to get started.
• Med våra recept som stöd, lagar ni en trerätters middag tillsammans. Det är enkelt, socialt och väldigt mycket “göra något ihop” snarare än prestation. Vi finns nära till hands för tips och guidning, men ni själva står för kreativiteten och tempot.
• The menu is decided together with you in advance. We are happy to suggest ideas that suit the season and the location, but the most important thing is that the food feels right for you.
• Räkna med ca fyra timmar för hela upplevelsen. Vill ni stanna längre och fortsätta kvällen vid elden eller behöver ni ett kortare upplägg, så löser vi det.

Price

• Adults: 995 SEK/person (minimum 4,000 SEK)
• Youth (10–15 years): 595 SEK per person
• Children (4–9 years): 295 SEK per person
